Mr. Mohamed N. Mwinguku is an accomplished cooperative leader and finance professional with over 25 years of experience in cooperative management, accounting and rural economic development. He currently serves as the General Manager of Tandahimba Newala Cooperative Union (TANECU) Ltd, a position he has held since 2016, and is also the Secretary and General Manager of Korosho Cooperative Joint Enterprise Ltd, a joint initiative uniting leading cashew cooperative unions in southern Tanzania.
Mr. Mwinguku’s leadership extends across multiple institutions. He previously chaired the Board of Tandahimba Cooperative Bank (TCB) from 2019 to 2024 and has played a pivotal role in sector-wide reforms, including serving as Secretary of the Joint Procurement Committee for cashew cooperatives in Tanzania.
He holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Open University of Tanzania, an Advanced Diploma in Accountancy from the Tanzania Institute of Accountancy and additional training in directorship from the Institute of Directors in Tanzania (IODT). His early professional years were spent in logistics, NGO management and cooperative development.
A passionate advocate for cooperative financial inclusion, Mr. Mwinguku brings deep grassroots knowledge, proven leadership and strategic insight to the Board. His appointment reflects the Bank’s commitment to strengthening the cooperative movement and fostering inclusive growth.
