Immaculatha Maro – Head of Credit

Immaculatha is a highly skilled and results-driven banking professional with over 9 years of progressive experience in credit management, loan disbursement, business analysis, and compliance within the Tanzanian banking industry. She currently serves as Head of Credit at Coop Bank Tanzania, a role in which he oversees all business loan disbursements across Microfinance, SME, Agriculture, and Corporate segments.

In his current role, she leads the Credit Disbursement Unit to ensure that all approvals and compliance requirements are met prior to fund disbursement. His responsibilities include reviewing structured and seasonal loan products, setting performance objectives for staff, and supporting branch teams through training and guidance to improve loan portfolio quality. His leadership has resulted in notable achievements such as:

Prior to this role, she worked as a Senior Credit and Business Analyst at CRDB Bank (2017–2019), where she analyzed business loan applications, ensured proper implementation of disbursement controls, and contributed to management reporting and presentations for senior leadership.

She began his career at Diamond Trust Bank, where he held several roles including Compliance Officer (2014–2016), responsible for AML reviews, operational risk audits, and regulatory compliance; and Authorizer – Credit Administration Department (2016–2017), where he oversaw facility approvals, security checks, and credit reporting to bureaus.
